The front with hinged portrait of Aurora flanked by two winged Sirens, scrolling and foliage around, hinged bezel for the four-body watch case, back pierced and engraved with mask and scrolling, gold enameled cuvette. D. White enamel, blue radial Roman numerals with gilt lozenge half-hours, blue outer minute divisions, blue center with gilt sun rays. Elaborate gold hands. M. 25 mm (11'''), frosted gilt, jeweled to the center, cylinder escapement, three-arm gilt balance with flat balance spring.Signed on the movement, the cuvette inscribed “Executé pour Monsieur Merton par F. Boucheron, Paris 1873, Honoré Sculp.”.Dim. Length 75. width 50 mm, diam. of the watch 30 mm.
