Le monde change, Zenith aussi : la Manufacture lance une collection de montres sport chic, Defy… Elle renoue ainsi avec un passé récent où elle excellait en la matière, cumulant les records de chronométrie. Un design inattendu, une technologie avant-gardiste, un style unique, des performances inédites… Une véritable révo-lution tant esthétique que mécanique. Puissance, virilité, modernité, celui qui la porte vit à 1000 à l’heure.

Citius – Plus vite…  Conçue comme un bolide, la nouvelle DEFY surprend par son châssis musclé, son profil racé, sa carrure athlétique. Au poignet, elle s’impose et en impose grâce à un diamètre qui varie en fonction de la motorisation: 46,5 mm sur les chronographes El Primero ou 43 mm sur la série Elite. Des inserts de la lunette tournanteaux fonds vissés, en passant par le bracelet en acier articulé, tout est conçu pour la rendre différente. Elle est à l’horlogerie ce que la Formule 1 est à l’automobile: un concentré de technologie au service de l’émotion pure. Altius – Plus haut… Grâce à l’utilisation combinée de matériaux novateurs, ces montres sont dotées d’une motorisation et d’une carrosserie conçues pour des conditions extrêmes: incassables, supportant des températures et des pressions élevées, elles associent des principes physiques et chimiques issus de trois ans de recherche et développement. Ainsi fut découvert le Zenithium, un alliage exclusif, ultraléger et ultrarésistant, dont sont constitués les ponts des mouvements. Fortius – Plus fort… La collection DEFY CLASSIC est déjà surprenante. Sa silhouette virile, ses lignes dynamiques, sa puissance élégante évoquent tout un style de vie: le coupé GT dans le garage, le yacht dans la marina et le jet sur un aéroport privé. Mais ZENITH a frappé encore plus fort. Produit d’une imagination sans peur et sans limite, la collection DEFY XTREME ne se décrit pas, elle se vit. C’est un pur-sang en liberté, un monstre en colère. Agressive, sauvage, extravagante, elle est d’Ailleurs.
Là où d’autres auraient pu s’arrêter, ZENITH poursuit, repoussant les limites, livrant ici un prodige à l’état pur. Etanche à 1000 m, le châssis est entièrement en titane noir, satiné sur la lunette et la carrure, poli sur les têtes de vis ; une valve à hélium en relief permet la décompression en utilisation extrême ; des inserts en fibre de carbone singularisent les poussoirs; les cadrans à niveaux multiples combinent aluminium alvéolé, hesalite shock-proof et fibre de carbone; les bracelets associent acier brossé et matériau composite renforcé par des inclusions latérales en Kevlar®.
Un seul credo :
performer, résister, étonner. Au croisement exact de la haute technologie et de la haute horlogerie, il y a la DEFY XTREME TOURBILLON. Equipée d’un mouvement El Primero 4035 SX, son esthétique coupe le souffle : le pont du tourbillon est un disque hélicoïdal, le quantième ceinture la cage, les aiguilles des compteurs rappellent les jantes profilées d’un concept car. En transparence, on peut voir directement la platine supérieure, les vis et les rouages du mouvement. Sur la DEFY XTREME OPEN, l’El Primero 4021 SX rugit à 36 000 alternances, protégé par une pale de réacteur sur lequel tourne la seconde courante à trois branches. La réserve de marche est segmentée en paliers, tous les indicateurs sont en Superluminova® rouges: le plaisir s’affiche en couleurs… Sous le cadran translu-cide, on devine la roue des ébats. Jeu de lumière, ballet d’aiguilles rotatives luminescentes, elle décline la puissance contenue d’un calibre harmonique à haute vitesse dans les codes du futur. La version DEFY XTREME CHRONOGRAPHE s’offre le luxe de la symétrie dans un monde de performances. Très lisible, son El Primero à trois compteurs mobiles exprime le dixième de seconde grâce à des aiguilles à hélices multiples. La date est magnifiée par une lentille grossissante. Enfin, la DEFY XTREME POWER RESERVE loge un mouvement Elite 685 SX. Elle joue avec la profondeur grâce à sa réserve de marche en suspension. Sur son cadran, c’est le noir de la fibre de carbone qui domine pour privilégier une certaine sobriété sportive.
